  1. Magicshine 1000 Lumen LED Bike Light Review by Skichic

Incredible light! I use it with a helmet mount which I had to be purchased separately, about the only downfall. It does sit kind of high on the helmet, have to remember to duck for low hanging branches. The life of the battery goes FAR beyond the hours I ride at night. When I first got it, did a full charge and then turned it on till it shut off......7.5 hours later! Ditched the extra weight of my spare light! (Posted on 8/2/12)

  2. Magicshine Mj-868 Review by BJB

I purchased my Magicshine on the advice of a friend, and I'm glad that I did. It's easy to install, easy to charge, and gives off a bright beam of light that is much more than I expected. If the longevity is there I will be a very satisfied customer. (Posted on 8/2/12)

  3. Great lite Review by HowsBMW

Lite is bright but I doubt it's really 1000 Lumens I have a self contained usb charged light that seems just as bright even tho their True-lumens rating is onlty 350 Battery life is decent. This will be the last product I will buy from the vendor LightJunction as their customer service is poor. Had a problem with the MS 808e power cord right after iI bought from them. Jay's response was that they do not guarantee the power cord from the battery to the light rendering it useless. This was the 4th light I bought from light junction and will be the last (Posted on 8/2/12)

  4. MJ-868 review from a friend in Chicago Review by Lake Shore Bike Trail

I'm back from the night ride and I am happy to report that MJ-868 performed exceptionally well. The light came with a fully charged battery and I topped it off by charging on the green light for a few hours before the ride. The status light turned blue after the first 30 minutes, then turned orange after another 60 minutes. I live in Chicago close to the Lake Michigan and weather permitted, I try to ride my daily 30-mile on the Lake Shore Bike Trail. The trail is quite picturesque during a day but -- due to several missing trail lights and a few potholes -- poses some challenges for night riders in several areas. The 868 provided more than sufficient lightning and I love it already... :-)I started to ride at 6:30 PM, turned the light on 100% output, and kept the max output for the whole 120-min ride. After the ride, I kept the light on the max output in my apartment to see how long it would run before the battery is completely depleted. Here are the results of the 5-hr test; 2 hrs outside in temp 45 F, and 3 hrs inside in 75 F: Time Status Light Duration06:30 - 07:00 Green 30 min07:00 - 08:00 Blue 60 min08:00 - 10:40 Orange 160 min10:40 - 11:40 Red 60 min (I turned the light off when the status started blinking read)---------------------------------------------------------------- TOTAL RUN TIME ON 100%: 5 hrs 10 min The MJ-872 total time on max output was just a little over 2 hrs and it did stop the operation of my wireless computer. The MJ-868 total time on max output was over 5 hrs and it did not interfere with my wireless computer. Neither MJ-872 nor MJ-868 interfered with my mp3 player. In a word, MJ-868 light seems simply delightful... :-) Now, since MJ-868 has proven such a great light, it makes sense to find what's the best way to take care of this great Samsung battery. Would it be better to simply charge it till fully charged from whatever level of charge remained after the ride or occasionally completely drain the battery and then charge it back to the full charge? If you know, or could find out, the answer to this questions, many a folk could benefit from it... :-) Sorry for this a little too long email but I wanted to share my findings with you and reciprocate the valuable info you had shared with me. I hope it was OK with you :-) (Posted on 11/18/11)
